Stage Management for Master of Theatre Studies
Susan L. McMillan is in her second year as Production Manager of the Theater and Dance Department at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her work includes teaching stage management and mentoring all stage management students. Previous to this, Susan was an Equity Stage Manager at the Oregon
Shakespeare Festival for 18 seasons and over 40 productions. Her work at OSF included The Tempest, On The Razzle, King John, Intimate Apparel, Room Service, Love's Labors Lost, Henry VI Part 1, Henry VI Parts 2 and 3, Present Laughter, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Enter the Guardsman, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Hamlet, The Magic Fire, Macbeth, Twelfth Night, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Richard III, Much Ado About Nothing, You Can't Take It With You, Cabaret Verboten, The Firebugs, and Death of a Salesman. Other stage management credits include : OSF's tour of The Magic Fire to the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.; Misalliance and The Magic Fire at the Guthrie Theatre, Minneapolis; Henry V at the Shakespeare Theatre, Washington D.C.; The Underpants at Portland Center Stage, Portland; Tosca at the Rogue Valley Opera, Oregon; Peter Pan, The Fantasticks and Betrayal at PCPA Theatrefest, Santa Maria; Hair, Home Cure and Snoopy at Rogue Valley Civic Theatre. Susan received a B.S. degree in Biology, a B.S. degree in Biochemistry/Biophysics, as well as a minor in Theater Arts at Oregon State University.
