Paul James Martin
Paul James Martin is Properties Master for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. His duties include managing a shop of five crewmembers, organizing and producing furniture, hand props, weapons, set decoration, draperies for half of the 11 shows produced annually by OSF. He has 32 years of experience in furniture construction, upholstery, drapery construction, welding and metal work, casting and mold making, sculpture and carving, painting and drawing, budgeting and scheduling, set decoration, and fabric dyeing. Paul James is a member of the Society of Prop Artisan Managers, an organization comprised of the Property Masters and Managers of Professional Regional Theatres throughout the United States. He became a member of the OSF Canon Club in 1989, having worked on the complete Shakespeare canon.
Paul James taught props workshops for the Master of Theatre Studies summers of 2005-2007.
