Lue Morgan Douthit
Lue Morgan Douthit is currently the Director of Literary Development and Dramaturgy at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She has been with the Festival for 13 seasons and has had the privilege of working on all kinds of plays, old and new. Favorite productions include the world premieres of By the Waters of Babylon and The Magic Fire, as well as Les Blancs, Tongue of a Bird, The Trojan Women, Romeo and Juliet and a six-actor Macbeth. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in dramatic theory and criticism as well as an M.F.A. in directing/playwrighting. In 1999, she was a co-winner of the LMDA Prize in Dramaturgy: The Elliott Hayes Award for her work on Les Blancs.
In 2007 Lue taught the a la carte course The Wonderful World of Dramaturgy.
