Schedule for 2013 Summer Intensive

The summer residency portion of the program includes active discussion of production elements, from script analysis and design to stage management, as well as in-depth exploration of design and technical areas, hands-on development of design and production concepts and practical application of technical processes. Evenings are spent preparing class assignments, attending presentations and workshops, working on design and technical projects, and attending plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Plan to arrive on Friday, July 7, 2012 in order to attend the orientation meeting and welcome reception at 7:00 pm in the Theatre Building. Residence Hall check-in is 3:00-5:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday we will have program fundamentals, student advising, group sessions with time allowed to work on your theoretical projects. The daily schedule begins Monday morning July 15. The middle weekend, July 20-21, has some free time but includes required workshops and an Oregon Shakespeare Festival performance.

On Saturday July 27 the main program concludes with a full day of structured lab sessions, advising, and an evening closing party. Residence Hall checkout is Sunday, July 28 at 10:00 am. You may choose to arrive a week early or stay an additional week (July 8-12 AND/OR July 29-August 2) to attend an elective course.
