Academic Advising
What is Academic Advising at Southern Oregon University?
Academic Advising at SOU assists students in the mapping and maneuvering through their educational plans. We guide students in developing their academic and career goals, in addition to providing the tools to navigate through the courses and activities which help them accomplish these goals in pursuit of a liberal arts education.
Advisors in Academic Support Programs and at the Higher Education Center in Medford assist students in understanding the University Studies Requirements (General Education) and help in the overall development of their academic plans. Major requirements are advised through the student's chosen major department.
This Web site is designed to provide access to information that will assist students in their travel through their educational path. In order to navigate your way through this site, please follow the pathway that best describes your current standing at SOU by clicking the appropriate link below.
