Office of Senator Ron Wyden - Internships can range from 8 weeks to 16 weeks and will be negotiated on an individual basis. Although neither a salary nor expenses can be paid, my office will be glad to assist in the search for temporary housing in the Washington area.
Office of Senator Gordon Smith - Full-time paid and unpaid sessions are offered throughout the academic year. Interested students should have exceptional academic records, demonstrate advanced writing and communication skills, and express an interest in government and public relations through relevant coursework and/or extracurricular activities.

Office of Congressman Peter DeFazio - The office has full- and part-time internships available during the academic year or summers. Internships are unpaid.

Secretary of State Bill Bradbury- This internship allows students to experience the excitement of working for Oregon's Secretary of State.
Governor Ted Kulngoski - The governors´ interns will serve as staff members alongside professionals who are experts in the fields of Public Policy, Communications, Legislation, and/or Scheduling and Constituent Services.
Oregon Superintendent's Internship Program- An internship is able to acquaint students with various functions, programs, and divisions within the Department of Education as well as learn the value of real work experience.

Office of Personnel Management. This is the official U.S. Government Civil Service site. Students will find this page a helpful resource in locating student jobs, summer jobs, scholarships, and internships.

Office of Homeland Security. The Office offers undergraduate scholarships with summer internships and graduate fellowships for variety of disciplines.

The Carter Center- The Carter Center offers unique and diverse opportunities for undergraduate who are interested in contemporary international and domestic issues. The Internship Program has special appeal for those who wish to combine academic study with practical application and experience.
The American Political Science Association- APSA brings together political scientists from all fields of inquiry, regions, and occupational endeavors within and outside academe in order to expand awareness and understanding of politics.

Nancy Peterson Memorial Endowment Scholarship - Encouraging SOU women to study political science and to seek careers in politics/public service. The Environmental Careers Organization- operates a collection of programs in collaboration with a number of federal agencies, corporations, nonprofits, and state and local governments.
The Everett Public Service Internship Program - Everett interns are a diverse group of undergraduates and learn how to span the ethnic, racial and political spectrum. The programs goal is to view what binds others together is their personal commitment to "the repair of the world."
Institute for Humane Studies- IHS is an institute devoted to research and education in the conviction that greater understanding of human affairs and freedom would foster peace, prosperity, and social harmony.
