B.A. in English, and Mult. Subjects Teaching Credential, 1982, C. S. U. Fresno; M.A. in Education (with distinction), 1993, California State University, Fresno; Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, 1998, University of Hawai‘i at Manoa. 

William Greene is an educational psychologist and a professor in the School of Education at Southern Oregon University. His research interests focus on multi-level learning and the human potential, self-study of teacher education practices, and the sociocultural context of learning. Examples of studies Dr. Greene has authored or co-authored include these topics: a collaborative self-study of teaching practice, the response of Oregon middle schools to No Child Left Behind legislation, multiethnic identity development among adolescents in Hawai'i, the development of multi-heritage students, community values and education in Hawai'i, and the transnational experiences of Korean students in Oregon schools. An educator for over 28 years, Dr. Greene has taught in California, Hawaii, Oregon, and American Samoa and at various levels including elementary, secondary, and university.
