Admissions Requirements For Transfers
Students planning on transferring to SOU from an accredited college or university must have:
- completed at least 36 quarter credits (24 semester credits) of transfer level credit
- a minimum 2.25 grade point average (minimum 2.0 grade point average for all California Exchange Program participants with an AA or AS degree and students who have completed an Oregon AAOT degree. See the California Exchange Program page for more information.)
- left all previous institutions in good academic standing
- Graduates of High School Class of 1997 or later must also demonstrate evidence of two complete years of high school level second language proficiency. If you completed at least two years of high school level second language you should provide an official high school transcript. (Exceptions must have completed two terms of college level foreign language, or must submit a language contract.)
Transfer applicants with fewer than 36 quarter credits must also meet the freshmen admission requirements.
