Schedule of Events

The following schedule is designed to help people know when certain events will occur in order to help in planning their travel. The timing of most events, such as field trips, special dinners, etc., are unlikely to change. However, the timing for certain sessions, such as symposia, may change as the program develops. If your travel plans depend on the timing of a particular presentation or symposium, it is imperative that you contact the AAASPD office (541-552-6747 or e-mail aaaspd@sou.edu) for current information prior to making your plans.

Rain Forest Field Trip leaves HPA 10:00 a.m.
Registration 8:00 - 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at Taylor Commons
Hawaiian Greeting 5:15 p.m. at Taylor Commons.
Dinner--no host "finger food" buffet dinner 6:45 p.m. at Taylor Commons



Thursday, 13 June

Registration 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Plenary Lecture Series (open to public at no charge) 8:00 a.m. at Gates Performing Arts Center.
Symposia and contributed sessions 10:00 a.m.
Lunch 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Symposia and contributed sessions 1:00 p.m.
Poster session 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. in Taylor Commons
Leave for Barbeque Dinner at Hapuna Beach 5:00 p.m.



Friday, 14 June

Breakfast 6:45 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
Prepare sack lunches for field trips 6:45 - 7:45 a.m. in Taylor Commons
Registration 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Commons
Volcano field trip leaves HPA 7:30 a.m.
Mariculture field trip leaves HPA 8:00 a.m.
Dry Forest Ecology field trip leaves HPA 8:00 a.m.
Historical Park field trip leaves HPA 8:00 a.m.
Lunch 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (those staying at HPA and not participating in a field trip).
All but volcano field trip return to HPA by 5:00 p.m.
Dinner 5:45 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Evening activity 7:00 p.m.
Volcano field trip returns to HPA 10:30 p.m.



Saturday, 15 June
